October 5, 2015 by Mary Buck

This video will show you how to set and use the self-timer on your DSLR camera.   Mary shows you using a Canon 6D digital SLR Camera but the photography tip is helpful for all DSLR cameras including all Canon, Nikon and Sony Brands. You will also need a tripod to use the self-timer or a good, steady base, like a table.

May 11, 2015 by Mary Buck

I just added this video to  Message in a Petal YouTube channel but I also wanted to share it with all of you who visit Studio 2.8 blog.  This is a great way to create a more artistic looking image from a photograph. Selective Color in Photoshop

February 23, 2015 by Mary Buck

This video will show you how to apply a selective color in Photoshop. Although there are many ways to perform this technique, I show the method that I have used for years. A word of caution is that selective color is dated so be careful what you do with it. But then again, what goes around comes around.  Have fun with it.

Image Sensor Size on a Digital SLR Camera

December 11, 2014 by Mary Buck

What Does a Cropped Sensor Mean?

In this video I explain what an image sensor size on a digital SLR camera is  and what the difference is between a  full framed image sensor  vs. a cropped sensor.  I also explain what the pros and cons are of using a cropped image sensor camera. Most of my students are unaware of the cropped sensor feature on their camera, so in this video I want to take the mystery out of  this.  To view more of my videos subscribe to my YouTube Channel.
