What Time: 7:30 AM – 2:00 PM.
Where: We meet at the Chattahoochee River Walk for the sunrise and then take a stroll on the boardwalk, where you will see many species of birds. Our next stop will be Vickery Creek and Falls, a hidden treasure in Roswell. We will have lunch at the third location, Morgan Falls Overlook Park, and do more hiking and photography. THE TOTAL WALKING DISTANCE WILL BE 5 MILES ON MOSTLY LEVEL AND PAVED TERRAIN. THE LAST LOCATION WILL BE A UNPAVED DIRT TRAIL WITH MODERATE TERRAIN. IF YOU ARE PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED OR HAVE JUST HAD KNEE OR HIP SURGERY, I DON’T RECOMMEND YOU ENROLL IN THIS WORKSHOP. If you enroll, you will be asked to sign a liability waiver.
Who can attend? Anyone with a passion for photography and nature. Beginners are welcome.
What should I bring? Water, bug spray, hiking shoes, a DSLR or Mirrorless camera, a wide-angle AND A telephoto lens, two charged batteries, and a tripod.

What is the Cost? – $99
What does it include? A tour through three of the best nature preserves in Atlanta, photography instruction (I’ll tell you my favorite settings for sunrise, wildlife, and landscapes), and a boxed lunch. You’ll be in the company of like-minded people communing with nature for the entire day. You will capture amazing photographs throughout the day. Lunch includes a sandwich, chips, fruit, cookies, and water. Vegan options are available. Sandwiches are made the night before and stored in a cooler until lunchtime.
